Dear all,

last week we had the first meeting of our incipient SBE Space Group. Just as a reminder for those who didn't reply to the poll: "It's an informal PhD discussion group within the SBE and across its three institutes for all whose research has space at its core, no matter its scale.The group aims to include any student who is interested in housing, urban and architectonic space in relation with social, political, economic, cultural and health & well-being issues."

We discussed and agreed to start with some activities/meetings:

1) a weekly gathering, every Wednesday lunch time, at 12.15 in the staff room 3rd floor in WA, as an opportunity for knowing each other better. Next "lunch session" will be on Wed 19th Nov.

2) every 2-3 weeks we'd like to meet in WA 3.11 if available, booking in advance with Tom will be necessary, and organize a more formal gathering for presentations and more focused discussion on specific topics, readings, etc..

3) explore which app could do better to set up a virtual group for sharing knowledge, papers, links, events, call for papers, etc.. AS AN UPDATE of this point, I'd like to suggest using this software / app

More info about how to join it and start editing etc.., via email and at our next forthcoming meetings, this Wednesday 19th in WA staff room at 12.15 and the following one 26th for a more formal session (in room WA3.11, to be confirmed yet), also for a short (5min) "contact presentation session" in which everyone has the opportunity to explain her/his research. A format for the presentation, just a suggestion! not compulsory.. could be the "Pecha Kucha" or 20x20:
